Delivering the Life of Your Dreams
Jonathon and Mahtab are Regstered Life Planners with the Kinder Institute
Prior to becoming Life Planners they had both had successful careers in the financial sector.
Jonathon gained a degree in English from Birmingham University and then qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC). He was financial director of an engineering company in Walsall employing 600 people for four years and then spent 26 years as an independent financial adviser specialising in ethical investment. In 2008 Jonathon led a management buyout of Barchester Green Investment of which he was subsequently chairman. The business traded successfully through the worst financial crisis in living memory and was sold to Castlefield Wealth Management in 2014.
Mahtab was born and grew up in Iran where she gained a degree in biology from Azad University, Tehran before coming to the UK in 1999. She gained a basic training in office and tax administration in Leeds before joining Kingston Smith in London in 2001 where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Mahtab set up her own tax consultancy practice in 2010 which continues to thrive and provides a very useful service to clients of Aloha Life Planning.
Jonathon and Mahtab were privileged to complete part of their training in Hawaii at the home of George Kinder, founder of the Kinder Institute.
It was from their time in Hawaii that the name of their business derives. "Aloha" is a Hawaiian word used as a greeting throughout the islands of Hawaii and elsewhere, which is almost untranslatable but perhaps best approximated by 'joyfully sharing life'.
